AH! I’ve Been Hit!
Alright, so I guess “tagged” is the official term. Either way, Lydia has requested that I post the following information in these Seven categories of Seven items each:
Seven things I hope to do before I die:
1. Become fluent in reading New Testament Greek.
2. Go skydiving.
3. There’s a place in the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee where in order to stay in a lodge at the top of the mountain, you have to hike up on foot. (Even all the supplies are brought in on donkeys!) Our family heard about it one year when we were hiking in that area and I’ve always wanted to go back and make the trek to the top.
4. Pick a ripe banana off a tree and eat it!
5. Produce a CD of all of our original AIC songs.
6. Marry a Godly man and be a helpmeet to him in fulfilling the calling God has given him.
7. Help raise a host of children who will become Godly men and women and leaders in their generation.
Seven things I cannot do well:
1. Consistently go to bed and get up early.
2. Keep a straight face when I’m trying to play a practical joke on someone.
3. Remember information unless I write it down.
4. Handle distractions graciously when I’m working under pressure.
5. Go shopping when I don’t know exactly what I’m looking for.
6. Play the piano and carry on a conversation at the same time.
7. Refrain from making sarcastic remarks.
Seven things that would attract me to my future husband:
Declining to answer this one. However, interested parties may send applications here at their own risk. ;-)
Seven things I say often:
1. How did your practicing go this week? (roughly 30 times a week during piano lessons.)
2. Are you serious?
3. That’s interesting.
4. Okay…here’s a question for you…
5. Did anyone get the mail today? (I love getting the mail! Usually, when one of my three younger siblings is in earshot, this query propels us into a mad race to see who can get to the mailbox first, retrieve the mail and eventually make it back into the house without being attacked by the other – all in good fun, of course.)
6. Dad, do you have this week’s WORLD magazine?
7. Yogurt and bananas. (In response to Mom asking if I need her to pick up anything for me at the store. This is my standard response, since my family knows this is my morning staple and we can rarely keep enough of either “in stock.”)
Seven authors, books or series I love:
1. The Bible
2. Strong's Exhaustive Concordance
3. Howard Hendricks (esp. Living by the Book)
4. John Piper (esp. Don't Waste Your Life)
5. Francis Schaeffer (esp. A Christian Manifesto and How Should We Then Live)
6. Melody Green (No Compromise-biography of Keith Green)
7. John Bunyan (The Pilgrim's Progress)
Seven movies I watch over and over again:
(I’m racking my brain trying to think of movies I’ve seen more than once. To be honest, I hardly ever watch movies and I tend to watch documentaries or teaching tapes when I do. My family doesn’t let me select movies very often anymore… :-)) Here are seven of my favorite “real” movies:
1. Emma
2. The Inheritance
3. Gods and Generals
4. Gettysburg
5. Sergeant York
6. The Three Musketeers
7. Sgt. Bilko
Seven people I want to do this:
(Okay, so I’m not really in the blogging loop – most of the blogs I read have already been tagged. Here are three anyway.)
1. Julia (I know where you keep your blog hidden…)
2. Myklin
3. the other Natalie

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM TEXAS!!!
Hope you're doing well!! Enjoyed reading your "7 things" list... :o) And what's with this tagging ME thing?? Well, I suppose I should be appreciative shouldn't I? Okay... fine...thanks. *grinning* Just kidding! You know I'd love to answer all those fun little questions. :o) That's TOTALLY a "me" thing. Thanks for taggin' me!
Trav and I are doing great here... life is truly wonderful. :o) I hope you're all doing well too!
Many Southern Smiles,
Myklin
I enjoy reading people's '7's...thanks for doing it! I don't have a blog but Susan G. tagged me anyway and some other of us who aren't bloggers and had us answer our questions in her comments section, so it was fun....it took me forever to think of stuff and then I couldn't stop! I consistantly went over '7' all the time.! (o:
That was fun to read, Natalie! I want to read more by John Piper. I have one book sitting on my shelf right now waiting for me but I've not had a chance to get to it.
Hey Texas girl! AKA Myklin - yes, I figured it would be quite a stretch to get you to answer those seven questions... I think the challenge for you will be in keeping it to seven answers! ;-)
I'm glad you're doing so well! I sure miss you. :-( You should come visit sometime.
Mrs. B~
I visited Susan's blog and read your list too - lots of great answers. It is easy to get carried away, isn't it?!
Crystal~
I haven't read a whole lot of John Piper, but I have been really challenged by what I have read. Have you read some of his books? I think you would like his writing. It has a lot of depth to it, coupled with an ever-present call for life application.
Thanks, Natalie. :-)
Great response to "Seven things that would attract me to my future husband" :). I had a good laugh on that. I enjoyed reading the rest of your answers as well.
