Serving in Ukraine

It is always so encouraging to read the Overseas Field Report from my friend Kelsie who is now serving as a missionary with her husband Joshua in Ukraine. (They have the most amazing story of how God brought them together in marriage a couple of years ago even though Joshua was living overseas and Kelsie was living here in the states and they had never met each other!)

This Carpathian Mountain Outreach that they are organizing for next year looks like an incredible opportunity for any young man who is interested in gaining hands-on experience on the mission field with some very dedicated and creative missionaries.

In addition to this outreach, they are working on some other huge projects, including a Chronological Bible Course. I am so impressed with the quality and content of their ministry efforts! What an excellent model of balancing the unchanging message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the modern technologies and tools available to us in the 21st century.

What an excellent reminder to all of us to use the tools and technology available, not merely for personal enjoyment or outlet, but to increase our efforts and effectiveness in reaching others and advancing the Kingdom of God. Indeed, this should be the aim in all that we do. Let us always ask, "How can I be more effective in advancing the Kingdom of God with the tools, skills and resources that God has given me?"
