One of the surest ways to become proficient at reading music and playing the piano is to play lots and lots of music. This theme was borne out of a desire to see each pianist become an expert of the notes and a master of the music. Much like learning any language this requires a solid grasp of the fundamentals, a large quantity of material to play through, and the ability to apply our knowledge in various contexts. As we work hard to acquire these necessary skills, we find that not only do we make noticeable and rewarding progress externally, we also contribute to the person we are becoming on the inside – a person of determination and devotion. That is the true treasure that we will take with us for the rest of our lives!
