A Man's Heart Deviseth His Way...

...but the LORD directeth his steps. Proverbs 16:9

I was going to blog something interest and thought-provoking this morning. On my way here, though, I stopped at Crystal's Blog. She's been blogging up a storm today, with a number of posts related to helping the hurricane victims. I confess, I had not kept up with what was going on in the aftermath of the storm, with a number of other things taking higher priority on my schedule this past week. Other than the rising price of gasoline, I suppose I have felt rather far removed from the devastation that has taken place along the gulf. On top of that, I have felt somewhat powerless to help in any tangible way.

If you have not done so, you really must read some of what's taking place in the south. In the midst of the helplessness of so many, there are a growing number of efforts underway to provide help and assistance. Here's a list of many of the organizations collecting donations and providing assistance. Also, check out the Vision Forum mission to help the Katrina victims.

No longer am I continuing on in blissful ignorance. Now, I find myself overwhelmed by the enormity of the disaster and inundated by too many options of ways to help the victims. May the Lord direct each of our steps to give and take action in a wise way that will provide the best help.

What a sweet comment from Naomi. Tears came to my eyes as I read it. If those who read the comment knew, Naomi is a very impressionable 11y.o. girl. Natalie, what a blessing you are as you live what you write and make an impression on those coming behind you. Thanks.
