A Successful Trip
Well, it worked…they’re married. :-)
We arrived home this evening after spending several days in Wisconsin for the wedding and then several days in the Chicago area visiting family and friends. Below are some of the highlights from the trip. You can see more pictures by visiting this web page that I put together. Since I was playing, I didn’t have a chance to take pictures during the ceremony and we haven’t gotten those back from the photographer yet. But the pictures I did get should give a pretty good overview. Enjoy!
Andy explaining the order of the ceremony to the parents.
The fire pit where the “rehearsal dinner” was held Friday night. Roasted hot dogs, chips, salads…time to relax, visit, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
The lovely outdoor sanctuary where the ceremony took place. After setting up in the morning, a rain system blew in, causing us a few moments of frenzied activity as we moved things back inside. In less than an hour, the system passed and we moved everything out again. The Lord blessed the remainder of the afternoon with warm sunshine and clear skies!
Nicole and Andy – spending a few moments together before the ceremony began.
Family members enjoy the reception of sandwiches, salads and cake.
Grant, Joey and Gus – buddies.
What better way to end such a beautiful day than sitting on a boat on the lake watching the sun set?

What a beautiful setting for a wedding!
I love the idea on an outdoor wedding near a lake. Thanks for sharing the pics, Natalie. It appears the wedding was a joyous occasion for everyone involved.

Natalie makes a somewhat misleading statement in her "About Me" sidebar -- "For this reason, (and because of my Dad's undeniable influence upon me!) I strive to do everything with excellence..."
Let it be known that Natalie's Mom has been an influence for excellence, too, just more subtly perhaps because she's not a hopeless perfectionist like her husband! :-)
