Our First Commercial

For a recent family project, Joey and I were paired up and assigned to produce a commercial for the product of our choice. We opted for Joey’s favorite eating establishment – Taco Shop. We worked together to storyboard, film, and script our production. Neither of us really know anything about filming and the technical side of things (so please don’t judge us on our lack of quality… :-) ), but we had fun in the process! Here is the result of our efforts:

    Not bad, not bad. I really, really want to eat there now…I have to figure out how to import their food to the West Coast without it getting soggy…hmmm. Maybe that could be your next project! haha

    LOL, that’s GREAT! :D

    I’ll have to show my bro…he’d love to do stuff like this. I particularly like the faster/higher voiced part at the end. :P

    Well, this ad certainly made me want to give Taco Shop a try. Especially the all you can eat tacos on Tuesday. ;)

    Great idea and clever to have it filmed on location.

    Wow, looks good! I’m guessing that Joey did the voice-overs? How about the others, did they make a commercial?

    Joey, I just have to say that my favorite fast food thus far is Spangles, It Just Tastes Better! (At least to me. ;) )

    Thanks all for the comments! Yes, Nathan Joey did all the voice-overs, even the high-pitched one at the end. :-)
    Mom and Naomi finished their commercial. Naomi is planning to film it sometime soon, since they originally just did it in person for the rest of us. Dad and Noelle are still working on theirs. Thanks for asking!

Our original commercial was “live” and around 30 seconds, but after I made all the adjustments on the computer it’s closer to 20-25 seconds… Oh well.
