Gathering rocks to make a fire pit.
Roasting bratwurst over the campfire.
Walking along the beach.
Listening to the wind whip the sides of the tent through the night.
Gazing up at the brilliant glow of the full moon.
Walking along a nature trail.
Sitting under a tree reading a good book.
Waking up to sunshine and clear blue skies.
Watching kiteboarders sail across the lake.
Blazing new trails through uncharted territory.
Pulling stickers off of my socks and shoes and skin.
Climbing a tree.
Singing around the campfire.
Sitting on a rock overlooking the lake and talking with God.
Watching flocks of wild turkeys run across the road.
Playing pitch by the light of the lantern.
Thinking, dreaming, planning, praying, reflecting.
Racing across the field to the bathrooms late at night.
Playing a competitive game of football.
Laughing, talking, spending time with my family.
Enjoying life in God’s glorious creation!
…that’s what I was doing this weekend.
