A Lesson to Learn
September 15th, 2005 by natalie
“Really?” Joey looked up at me intently as a grin spread quickly across his face. “Naomi!” he turned and called, “Natalie said she’d play ping-pong with us – come on!” I asked Naomi if they were done playing ping-pong. “Not if you’ll play,” was her eager reply. Aww, how sweet. I couldn’t believe how ready and willing they were to change their plans to do something with me. I could sure learn a lesson or two from them…
I love spending time with my family…when I have it scheduled.
I love spending time with my family…when I’m done working on my other projects.
I love spending time with my family…when they’re doing something I want to do.
I love spending time with my family…when I don’t have any better offers.
I love spending time with my family…when I need them to help me do something.
What do I really love? myself too much and others not enough.
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13
